Busted: MessageMe SMS and +375 or + 371 calls

“MessageMe SMS” could be the new mobile messaging solution as reviewed by Mashable, but right now, most of the reviews on iTunes and from my friends is that its SPAM.

There’s a ‘message me SMS’ going around, and once you click the link, the same SMS wil be sent out to ALL the contacts in your mobile phone.

If you have as many contacts in your phone as I do, it will likely also max out your SMS quota and add a HUGE increase to your Singtel/M1/Starhub PHONE BILL. Ain’t nobody got time for that.

On a similar note, people have been receiving calls from+375602605281, +37127913091 or any number starting with a +375, or +371 number.

One ring & and they hang up, leaving a missed call message. If you call back, it’s one of those numbers that are charged $15-$30 AND they can copy your contact list in 3 seconds.

If you have bank or credit card details on your phone, they can copy that too. +375 is from Belarus and Afghanistan. 371 is code for Latvia.

Don’t answer or call back.

FORWARD AND SHARE these notes if you hate unapproved sharing and privacy intrusion as much as I do!
